The Arts Council of Pakistan has announced it will host the World Culture Festival 2025 in Karachi, featuring around 800 artists from 102 countries worldwide.
At a press conference, the president of the Arts Council Karachi, Ahmed Shah, confirmed the festival will start on October 30 and run for 38 days, ending on December 7.
More than 800 artists from 100+ countries are expected to take part, showcasing music, theater, dance, visual arts, and film.
“The World Culture Festival is a landmark celebration of the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi’s commitment to cultural diplomacy. We look forward to welcoming you to experience the richness of global cultures in the heart of Pakistan” Mohammad Ahmed Shah said.
Ahmed Shah explained that the festival was originally planned to occur four months earlier but got delayed due to tensions between Pakistan and India, Independence Day events, and the monsoon season.
He shared that last year’s festival also lasted for 38 days and included artists from 44 countries. This year, the festival will be significantly larger.

It will feature artists from 31 African countries, 30 Asian nations, and 26 European countries, among others, making it a truly global event.

Beyond performing arts, the festival will have exhibitions by painters and sculptors from 20 countries, allowing for greater creative exchange.
When asked about Indian artists, he noted that while the Arts Council intended to invite them, recent political tensions made participation impossible. Still, he hopes future cultural exchange with India will be feasible.
Renowned singer Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan (RFAK) has been named the brand ambassador for the festival.
He will perform on the final day, December 7. Expressing his gratitude, RFAK said he feels honored to be part of the event and thanked the Sindh government and the Arts Council for their support.
