Higher Education Commission (HEC) Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) 2025 registration has officially begun for students seeking admission to undergraduate programs across Pakistan.
The USAT is mandatory for students applying to universities that follow HEC’s admission guidelines. The last date to register is September 9, 2025, while the test will be conducted on September 28, 2025.
Applicants can submit their registration forms online through the official HEC portal at etc.hec.gov.pk
According to HEC, the standardized test evaluates students’ academic preparedness and suitability for higher studies across different disciplines.

Eligibility for the test is open to students who have completed their Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or an equivalent qualification such as Grade 12. Students awaiting their final results are also eligible to apply.
To assist candidates during the process, HEC has introduced an online help desk at onlinehelp.hec.gov.pk, providing support with registration queries and technical issues.
Officials emphasized that the USAT aims to ensure transparency and merit-based admissions while improving accessibility to quality education for students nationwide. HEC is also using its social media platforms to raise awareness about the registration and testing procedures.
Students planning to pursue undergraduate studies are encouraged to complete their registration well before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.
