The Pakistani Rupee (PKR) experienced both decline and recovery during the week but ended stronger against the US Dollar by Friday.
On Monday, the rupee depreciated by 8.72 paisa, closing at Rs 284.95. The dollar was traded in the open market at Rs 287.50 – Rs 288.60. Other currencies like the Euro and Pound also saw minor losses.
On Tuesday, the rupee weakened further by 1.71 paisa, ending at Rs 284.97. The Euro increased slightly, and the Pound gained 90.64 paisa, reaching Rs 383.96.
On Wednesday, the PKR rebounded, gaining Rs 0.21 to close at Rs 284.76. The Euro rose by Rs 1.22, while the rupee showed mixed trends against other major currencies.
Thursday saw continued improvement, with the rupee strengthening by Rs 0.54 to Rs 284.22. The open market showed the dollar ranging between Rs 286.50 and Rs 288.30.
By Friday, the PKR posted its biggest gain of the week, rising by Rs 0.76 to close at Rs 283.45 in the interbank market. The Euro dropped by Rs 1.45, and the Pound also fell to Rs 381.59.
Overall, the PKR strengthened by Rs 1.52 over the week, showing positive recovery after initial losses. Currency movements were influenced by market demand, global factors, and investor confidence.
