Iran has announced a visa policy for Pakistani pilgrims planning to travel for Arbaeen Chehlum of Imam Hussain A.S. Visas will be issued from the 1st to the 16th of Safar.
In a special gesture, Iran has waived all visa fees for Pakistani pilgrims, including those applying for double-entry visas.
However, pilgrims must first obtain an Iraqi visa before applying for an Iranian one. Additionally, travel insurance costs for pilgrims have been reduced to half the usual rate.
Travel will only be permitted through officially registered caravans. Each caravan is responsible for arranging its own transport for the overland journey.
