Karachi to host Over 40s T20 World Cup 2025

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially approved National Stadium Karachi as the venue for the IMC Over 40s T20 Cricket World Cup 2025, which is scheduled to be held from December 1 to 13, 2025.

The approval was granted during a meeting between PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association (PVCA) Chairman Fawad Ijaz Khan.

Out of a total of 56 matches, 19 games will be played over 10 days at the National Stadium. The remaining matches will take place at Moin Khan Academy, South End Club, NBP Sports Complex, and Karachi Gymkhana.

During the meeting, Fawad Ijaz presented the tournament details and highlighted the participation of 14 international teams, including cricketing nations such as Pakistan, Australia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies, and England.

He emphasized that this global event is a significant opportunity to promote Karachi’s sporting identity and enhance Pakistan’s image on the world stage.

Fawad Ijaz thanked the PCB Chairman for extending the stadium’s availability from the originally proposed four days to ten, acknowledging the importance of hosting the matches at a major international venue to ensure both security and prestige.

Former cricket stars including Shahid Afridi, Misbah-ul-Haq, Younis Khan, Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, Kamran Akmal, and Abdul Razzaq are expected to participate, generating massive excitement among cricket fans.

With stadium access confirmed, preparations for the IMC Over 40s T20 Cricket World Cup 2025 are now underway, aiming to deliver a world-class experience for players, fans, and officials alike.
