Strong monsoon currents are bringing intermittent rain and thunderstorms to Karachi until June 29, according to the weather update issued on June 27, 2025, by the Sindh government’s Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).
The forecast warns of moderate to isolated heavy falls across the city, potentially disrupting daily life. Urban flooding, water logging in low-lying areas, and damage to electric poles, solar panels, and weak structures are possible.
Citizens are urged to stay cautious and plan outdoor activities accordingly.

For Friday and Saturday, Karachi is expected to see intermittent thunderstorms with isolated heavy rainfall.
Temperatures will range from 31 to 34°C in the daytime and 26 to 28°C at night. Humidity levels are expected to remain high, reaching up to 85% in the morning and evening.
Sunday’s weather is forecasted to be partly to mostly cloudy, with a chance of rain. Winds will shift from northwesterly to westerly and southwesterly throughout the weekend.
Farmers and emergency response teams have been advised to stay alert. PDMA has asked all relevant authorities to take preventive measures and remain ready for any untoward situation.
