Over 200,000 citizens have registered for online driving licenses in Sindh, marking a major success for the digital initiative of the provincial traffic police.
Since the launch of the online system on September 28, 2024 till July 23, 2025, over 184,654 learner licenses have been issued digitally, while around 13,000 permanent licenses were renewed online without the need to visit traffic offices.
Additionally, 7,031 international driving permits have also been issued through the online portal, highlighting the growing success and accessibility of the digital licensing system.
According to the DIG’s office, 351,360 citizens have registered on the official web portal. This has helped reduce overcrowding at centers and improve efficiency.
The new system brings greater transparency, convenience, and accessibility to traffic license services, making it easier for the public to apply from anywhere.
The DIG’s spokesperson praised the positive public response and said further improvements will be introduced to speed up the process.
