The University of Karachi (KU) has officially opened postgraduate admissions for its 2025 academic session, offering programs in MPhil, PhD, ME, LLM, MD (Medicine), MS, and MS (Surgery).
According to a statement issued by the university, interested candidates can submit their applications between June 23 and July 7, 2025.
This decision was finalized in a meeting chaired by KU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi, emphasizing the importance of research-based higher education in the country.
Applicants can download the prospectus, admission form, and fee voucher online from the official KU website at which can be accessed on the given link.
After filling the form and submitting the required documents, candidates must hand in their applications along with the fee to the relevant departments, centers, or institutes.
The list of eligible candidates for the entrance test will be published on July 18, 2025, on the KU website, meanwhile, the admit cards will be issued between July 21 and 23, 2025.
The admission test is scheduled for Sunday, July 27, 2025, and will be held at designated KU departments. Applicants must bring their admit cards to appear in the test.
Students seeking advanced qualifications are encouraged to apply early and ensure all documents and payments are submitted by the due date to avoid disqualification.
