Rate of animal hides (skins) in Pakistan 2025

Pakistan animal sacrifice stats

The Pakistan Tanners Association (PTA) has released the data related to Eid ul Adha – including rates of animal hides (skins) across the country.

Around 6.98 million animals will be sacrificed across Pakistan during Eid-ul-Adha 2025, according to association.

The PTA reports 3 million cows, 1,680 buffaloes, 3,465,000 goats, 4,250 sheep, and 13,635 camels will be offered for sacrifice this year across the country.

The association estimates that over Rs 6.35 billion worth of hides (skins) will be generated through Eid sacrifices.

Animal Hides (Skins) Rate:

  • Cow hides will sell for Rs 1,775
  • Buffalo hides for Rs 1,680
  • Goat hides for Rs 446
  • Sheep hides for Rs 47
  • Camel hides for Rs 578

This surge in sacrificial animal activity also supports Pakistan’s leather industry, particularly after Eid’s aftermath.

The association urges citizens to donate hides responsibly and avoid waste to ensure maximum economic and social benefit.
