To ensure a clean and healthy Eid-ul-Adha, Karachi has established 97 designated offal collection points across seven districts and 23 zones for proper waste management.
The Sindh Solid Waste Management Board (SSWMB) has launched a citywide drive, assigning teams to collect animal offals directly from homes and streets throughout the three-days of Eid-ul-Azha.
Authorities urge citizens not to throw animal remains on roads, dustbins, or open garbage dumps. Instead, they should hand over waste to SSWMB workers or drop it at designated spots.
Residents can also use Google Maps by pasting GPS coordinates to locate the nearest offal collection center in their area, ensuring easy and timely disposal during the festivities.

Officials emphasize that citizen participation is vital in keeping Karachi clean during this holy festival, especially given the high volume of sacrificial animal waste expected.
Each of Karachi’s seven districts has multiple waste zones, with a total of 23 zones actively managing 97 offal collection centers during Eid days to streamline the cleanup effort.
SSWMB stated, “Our teams will be working round the clock to ensure every household and street is covered. Citizens must also do their part by cooperating and disposing of offals properly.”
This initiative is part of the government’s “Keep Sindh Clean and Healthy” campaign, which aims to improve hygiene, reduce waste-related health hazards, and promote environmental responsibility.
By following proper waste disposal methods and using official collection systems, residents can help prevent urban pollution, clogged drains, and foul smells across Karachi during Eid.
