PMD issues forecast related to rainfall for June in Karachi

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has warned that Karachi will experience extreme heat during June, with no chances of rainfall expected the entire month.

According to officials, the weather in Karachi will remain hot and humid today, with temperatures forecasted to rise as high as 39°C under southwesterly winds blowing at 13 km/h.

The department has predicted that June will be especially harsh for residents of Karachi, advising caution as humidity levels remain around 75 percent.

Across Pakistan, similar weather patterns persist. Several districts in Sindh and Balochistan are also likely to experience extremely hot conditions in the coming days.

In Sindh, Nawabshah is expected to sizzle at 47°C, Sukkur may reach 45°C, and Hyderabad will see around 44°C. Karachi’s heat, though relatively milder, remains troubling.

Lahore is forecasted to touch 41°C, Multan 43°C, Peshawar 39°C, and Quetta will remain cooler at 32°C, according to the latest nationwide weather updates.

Meteorologists have advised people to stay hydrated, avoid direct sunlight during peak hours, and remain indoors when possible to avoid heatstroke or dehydration.

With no signs of monsoon rains or western disturbances in the current weather pattern, Karachi’s residents may have to endure prolonged heat without any rain relief.
