The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Sindh has issued a weather advisory warning of dust storms, hot winds, and light rain in several parts of the province over the coming days.
The advisory, based on the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s forecast, lists Ghotki, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Khairpur, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Badin, and Tharparkar as likely to experience dust-thunderstorms and light showers.
At the same time, hot to very hot and dry weather is expected across most areas, with strong winds potentially causing damage.
The PDMA warned of possible risks such as falling electric poles, trees, damaged vehicles or solar panels, as well as lightning and hail in some places.
Farmers have been advised to safeguard crops and livestock, while children, elderly, and people with health conditions should avoid sun exposure and stay well hydrated during peak heat.
Karachi Weather Update: May 28–30 Forecast
Karachi is set to experience intense heat over the next three days, with rising temperatures and varying humidity levels.
May 28 (Wednesday): Expect hot and humid conditions with temperatures ranging between 37–39°C. Morning humidity will be around 79 percent, accompanied by winds from the West/Southwest.
May 29 (Thursday): The weather turns very hot and windy, with temperatures soaring to 39–41°C. Morning humidity will be slightly lower, between 60–70%, and winds will blow from the West.
May 30 (Friday): Hot and dry weather continues, with temperatures remaining at 39–41°C, and westerly winds prevailing.
Citizens are strongly advised to stay hydrated, limit outdoor activities, and avoid direct sun exposure. In case of emergencies, contact local authorities immediately.
