The federal government has announced a new Maritime Education Endowment Fund to help deserving students from Pakistan’s coastal areas, said Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar Chaudhry.
The fund will provide scholarships to underprivileged students, giving them access to better education and opportunities. “Our goal is to offer quality education to students living in coastal regions,” the minister said.
The initiative will begin in coastal districts but plans to expand across the country later.
A special committee will oversee the selection and distribution of scholarships to ensure a fair and transparent process without discrimination, the minister added.
