Pakistan’s military response to India’s unprovoked aggression has been officially named Bunyan-um-Marsoos by Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, reflecting a national message of strength, unity, and sacrifice.
The term, derived from a verse in the Holy Quran, means “a wall constructed of molten lead”, symbolizing Pakistan’s unbreakable resolve and national solidarity in the face of Indian hostility.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the name was chosen by General Munir himself following India’s missile attacks on three Pakistani airbases, including one near Islamabad, in the wee hours of Saturday, May 10.
Pakistan’s air defence units intercepted most of the incoming projectiles, avoiding widespread destruction.

Pakistan immediately retaliated by launching precision missile strikes on multiple Indian military installations.
Officials confirmed that the response was not only strategic but also served as a tribute to the innocent children martyred during India’s earlier missile attacks.
Images released by ISPR showed Pakistan Army soldiers posing with armed vehicles, bearing banners with the names of the child martyrs, underscoring the emotional and symbolic depth behind the military response.
The operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos is seen as a firm and calculated response to repeated Indian aggression and marks a significant escalation in the Kashmir-linked regional tension.
Pakistan continues to call for de-escalation and regional stability, while affirming that its sovereignty and people will always be defended with full force.
