How to apply for upgraded NADRA non-chip ID card

NADRA non-chip ID card

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has unveiled its upgraded non-chip National ID card system, introducing several new features aimed at improving citizen security and convenience at an affordable cost.

The new non-chip ID card offers bilingual information, displaying details in both English and Urdu, ensuring consistency across official documents like passports.

Another important feature is the QR code integration, which allows citizens to access their digital identity through the Pak ID mobile app by scanning the embedded code.

The card also includes special benefits for organ donors, who will receive a distinctive mark and lifetime validity on their ID card. Persons with disabilities will benefit from special identification markers and lifetime validity as well.

Renewal, Replacement, and Fee Structure

Citizens can opt for the non-chip ID card when renewing, replacing, or modifying a lost card. The fee structure is as follows:

  • Normal Processing: PKR 400 (Delivery in 31 days)
  • Urgent Processing: PKR 1,150 (Delivery in 15 days)
  • Executive Processing: PKR 2,150 (Delivery in 9 days)

It is worth mentioning here that the first-time issuance for 18-year-olds is free under the normal category.
