In a shocking case of street crime, a motorcycle was stolen outside a Karachi police station, highlighting the law and order situation in the metropolis.
The victim, named Shahid Iqbal, parked his 125cc at Al-Falah Police Station in Korangi and went inside to meet police personnel.
When Shahid returned minutes later, his motorcycle was stolen. He immediately raised the alarm, leaving the police staff visibly surprised by the daring theft.
CCTV footage showed the suspect entering the station earlier, greeting officers, and pretending to file a report to create a distraction.
The footage further revealed that the man claimed he lost his identity card and used this excuse to survey the police station interior.

Within seconds, the suspect left the office, located the motorcycle, and escaped, taking advantage of poor vigilance at the gate.
Police are searching for the suspect using CCTV evidence. However, the ease with which the crime happened has raised serious concerns.
This case adds to the growing Karachi street crime situation.
In February, the CPLC reported 3,773 motorcycles and 195 cars were stolen in the city.
Despite police claiming a 21% drop in crime for 2024, many say real-life cases show little change, especially in high-theft areas.
In 2023, over 100 people lost their lives to street criminals. With rising thefts and violence, Karachi residents continue to live in fear daily.
