Hajj 2025: Saudi Arabia announces new rules for hotels

Hajj 2025

The Saudi Ministry of Tourism has announced that hotels in Makkah will no longer accommodate individuals without valid Hajj permits or official work/residency visas.

To support the new regulations, the Saudi government has launched the Tasreeh Platform, a digital system for issuing Hajj permits to domestic and international pilgrims.

The Tasreeh Platform is integrated with the Nusuk platform and will also handle permits for workers, volunteers, and vehicles involved in Hajj operations. This will help standardize procedures and enhance service quality for all pilgrims.

Permits will be accessible via the Tawakkalna app, making the process quicker and more convenient for pilgrims. In addition, security personnel at Makkah’s entry points will be able to verify permits through the Maidan app, ensuring fast, digital verification.

The new measures also include restrictions by the Ministry of Interior, which will prohibit individuals with non-Hajj visas from entering or staying in Makkah.

This rule will be enforced starting April 29, ensuring that only those with valid Hajj permits can access Makkah during the pilgrimage season.

This initiative is aimed at improving the overall Hajj experience, ensuring better organization and services for the millions of pilgrims expected to arrive in Makkah.
