Sindh nursing sector

The Sindh government and Asian Development Bank (ADB) have partnered to boost the province’s nursing and health workforce with a $100 million investment.

Minister for Health and Population Welfare, Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho, met with ADB representatives to finalize plans for this initiative aimed at strengthening healthcare systems in Sindh.

The funding will support infrastructure upgrades, digital transformation, and capacity-building programs across the nursing and allied health education system.

Key projects include building new nursing colleges, dormitories, and a Center of Excellence, along with establishing digital records and learning platforms.

Eleven consultants from Semiotics and four independents have been hired to guide implementation.
