KEDA urges to boycott PSL in support of Palestine cause

PSL Boycott

The Karachi Electronics Dealers Association (KEDA) has called for a complete boycott of the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) as a show of solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine.

In a statement issued on Sunday, KEDA President Rizwan Irfan urged Pakistani citizens, businesses, and cricket fans to refrain from supporting PSL matches until the tournament administration removes international brands allegedly supporting Israel from their sponsorship portfolio.

He specifically pointed to foreign brands such as Pepsi and KFC, which are among the sponsors of the PSL, claiming they represent companies from countries backing Israeli aggression.

“Until these brands are removed from PSL sponsorships, we should not watch or support any matches. This is a moral and religious obligation,” he stressed.

Rizwan added that the move is a peaceful but powerful message of unity with Gaza and a stand against international silence on human rights violations.

He appealed to citizens to not only boycott PSL matches but also refrain from using products of companies allegedly supporting Israel.

The online campaign has quickly gained traction, with hashtags like #BoycottPSL and #StandWithPalestine trending on social media platforms.

Several prominent YouTubers, anchors, and influencers have publicly supported the movement, amplifying the message.

Rizwan Irfan clarified that the boycott extends beyond cricket, describing it as part of a broader movement reflecting Pakistanis’ moral conscience and solidarity with Palestinians.

The PSL administration has yet to respond to these calls, but the growing digital movement suggests public pressure may continue to mount in the coming days.
