The annual matriculation examinations for grades 9 and 10 are set to begin tomorrow across Karachi, with strict measures being implemented by the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) to ensure fair conduct of the exams.
Chairman of the Board, Ghulam Hussain Soho, announced that a total of 499 examination centers have been established for the ninth and tenth-grade exams.
Around 375,000 students from the Science and General Groups are expected to participate in these examinations.
He confirmed that admit cards for regular students have already been uploaded on the board’s online portal, while the list of examination centers is also available on the official BSEK website.

In a stern warning, the Chairman made it clear that mobile phones and any kind of electronic devices are strictly prohibited inside examination centers. “Any such device found will be immediately confiscated,” he said.
To curb cheating and the illegal distribution of papers, photocopy shops around examination centers will remain closed during exam hours.
Additionally, the board will operate a dedicated reporting cell at its office to monitor the situation and ensure the smooth conduct of the exams.
Board officers will be responsible for securely distributing the sealed exam papers to the designated centers.
The Chairman urged students to follow all instructions, avoid bringing restricted items, and focus on giving their best in the exams.
