NADRA’s Pak ID App upgraded with Digital ID, Face Recognition feature

NADRA Pak ID App

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched version 3.8.1 of its Pak ID Mobile App, introducing digital ID storage and facial verification to enhance accessibility and security for Pakistani citizens.

The facial recognition feature provides an alternative verification method for elderly individuals or those with fingerprint issues, improving identity authentication.

The digital ID card storage enables users to keep a soft copy of their CNIC on their smartphones, ensuring quick access for verification purposes.

With this update, users can complete the entire ID application process online, including uploading documents, submitting biometric data, and applying digital signatures – eliminating the need to visit NADRA offices.

The app also simplifies ID amendments, making changes more convenient for users.

NADRA aims to modernize Pakistan’s identity system by integrating digital solutions that reduce paperwork and improve efficiency. The update aligns with the government’s push for paperless services and digital transformation.

Pakistani citizens can download the updated Pak ID Mobile App from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store or visit NADRA’s official website for further details.
