NADRA to shutdown Pak ID website, launch mobile app

The federal government has announced the closure of NADRA’s Pak ID website and decided to launch a mobile application to facilitate the citizens.

The Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi confirmed that the website will be shut down from tomorrow, with services being transferred to a new mobile app.

In addition, three new regional offices will be established in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gwadar, and Gilgit-Baltistan, which are set to open by March 31, 2025.

The decision comes after citizens, particularly those living abroad, faced difficulties using the Pak ID website.

Naqvi highlighted concerns about fraudulent activities involving fake websites that offered to help with identity document applications, potentially misusing personal information.

To combat these issues, NADRA, in collaboration with other local authorities, is taking action against these fraudulent elements.

Naqvi stressed that the new mobile app will offer all services previously available on the website, including CNIC, NAICOP, POC, B-Form, and FRC.

The app is designed to allow users to complete identity document procedures from home.
