The Trump administration has announced the termination of legal status for more than 500,000 immigrants, primarily from Latin America.

According to a foreign news agency, the Trump administration has announced the termination of the legal status of more than 500,000 immigrants and has given a deadline to leave the United States until April 24.

The decision is part of President Donald Trump’s plan to launch the largest deportation campaign in U.S. history, as reported by foreign media.

The order will impact immigrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela who arrived under a Biden-era program.

The presidential order is set to be published on Tuesday, and affected individuals will lose their legal protection 30 days after its release in the Federal Register.

Those who fail to secure an alternative legal status will be required to leave the country.

The CHNV program, introduced in January 2023, allowed 30,000 people from these countries to enter the U.S. monthly for two years.

Following the announcement, the ‘Welcome US’ program, which supports asylum seekers, has urged those affected to seek legal assistance immediately.
