The Commissioner of Karachi has released an official list and set prices for popular Ramadan snacks, including samosas, pakoras, jalebi, pheni, and khajla, to prevent overpricing during the holy month.
According to the newly issued rate list, a 60-gram A-class potato samosa will cost Rs 35, while the B-class variant will be Rs 30. A-class 35-gram qeema samosa is priced at Rs 35, and the B-class version at Rs 30.
For pakoras, A-class will be sold at Rs 600 per kg, while B-class will cost Rs 500 per kg. Pheni and khajla will be available for Rs 800 per kg (A-class) and Rs 600 per kg (B-class).
Authorities have urged citizens to report overcharging through WhatsApp at 0316-0111712 or via the complaint portal at www.ckcmsgov.com.
Officials have warned of strict action against vendors violating the price list to ensure fair pricing for all consumers.
