Sahir Hassan, son of Pakistani actor Sajid Hassan, has been arrested for drug dealing but has no connection to the murder of Mustafa Aamir, according to Karachi police.
SSP Special Investigation Unit Shoaib Memon stated that Sahir’s name surfaced during the interrogation of suspects Sheeraz and Armaghan.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided a house in Khayaban-e-Rahat and arrested Sahir Hassan with a bag containing 550 grams of weed worth Rs 5.5 million [55lacs PKR].
“The drugs recovered are made in California,” Memon revealed, clarifying that Sahir is a drug dealer but not involved in the Mustafa Aamir murder case.
The officer in his interview disclosed that Sahir admitted to using hashish since the age of eight and consuming weed for 13 years.
He began selling it two years ago, charging Rs 10,000 per gram and making over Rs 5 million per week. A video on his phone showed home-grown hashish plants.
“The estimated worth of drugs sold over two years is Rs 240 million,” Memon added.

He also confirmed that Sahir’s associates, Bazil and Yahya, will be arrested soon, and authorities are investigating how the drugs entered Pakistan despite strict laws.
During his interview with local media, Sajid Hassan said his son remains an accused, not convicted, but society has already distanced itself from him.
“My son has just married. He may have made mistakes, but linking him to the Mustafa Aamir case is unfair,” he said.
Hassan assured that he will not use his media influence and has faith in the judicial process.
“This is a serious case, and I demand a fair trial to expose the real culprits,” he added.
The Sindh government has vowed to eliminate drug trafficking, with Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon frequently calling for action against dealers.
However, spokesperson Sadia Javed emphasized that Customs Intelligence and ANF are responsible for controlling drug smuggling.
“These institutions’ negligence has allowed drugs to enter Pakistan and its educational institutions,” Javed said, urging the federal government to tighten border security, particularly at the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.
