Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah announced that the provincial government will distribute 500,000 additional solar systems to homes this year.
Speaking in Sukkur, Murad Ali Shah stated that initially, 200,000 solar systems were planned for distribution under the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), with 50,000 already delivered and the remainder expected soon.
On the instructions of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, an additional 500,000 solar systems will be provided to help poor households in Sindh.
The Chief Minister also shared plans to address Karachi’s waste management by collecting 15,000 tons of garbage, which will be used to generate 50 megawatts of electricity.
This initiative is part of the government’s efforts to improve living conditions and provide sustainable energy solutions.
