Pakistan’s fast bowler Haris Rauf may be rested for the second match of the tri-series against South Africa after suffering a rib injury in the opening game in Lahore.
The Pakistan team will travel from Lahore to Karachi today and train at the National Stadium tomorrow before facing South Africa on February 12.
Media reports claimed that Rauf is feeling better, but the team management is unwilling to take any risks.
On the other hand, New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra also sustained a forehead injury during the second innings of the same match.
A team spokesperson confirmed that his initial medical assessment was positive, but further evaluations will continue to decide whether he will be available for the next game.
