Bangladesh-Pakistan ties enters new era: High Commissioner

Bangladesh’s High Commissioner to Pakistan, Mohammad Iqbal Hussain, has stated that a new era of relations is beginning between Bangladesh and Pakistan.

Speaking to the media in Peshawar, he emphasized that both business and cultural ties between the two nations are set to flourish.

High Commissioner Hussain highlighted a recent agreement signed between the governments of Pakistan and Bangladesh concerning rice trade.

He also mentioned that Bangladesh is keen to import sugar from Pakistan, while there is significant demand for Pakistani fabrics in Bangladesh.

The High Commissioner pointed out the lack of direct flights between the two countries, adding that there is mutual demand for direct air connectivity, and steps will be taken to facilitate this.

Hussain also shared his experiences visiting various regions of Pakistan, noting that wherever he travels, he frequently hears about the GT Road.
