The city administration continues its campaign to remove encroachments that causing traffic blockages in Karachi.
Commissioner Karachi, Syed Hassan Naqvi, has directed all deputy commissioners to prioritize the removal of obstacles hindering smooth traffic flow.
Deputy commissioners from various districts have reported actions taken against encroachments, including those by hotel operators occupying footpaths, service roads, and streets.
In one case, Assistant Commissioner Bilal Alvi removed encroachments by Nourani Kabab House on Shahrah-e-Qaideen, which had blocked the service road and caused traffic disruptions.
Similarly, Assistant Commissioner Rahim Sheikh took action in areas like Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Gulistan-e-Johar, clearing encroachments from locations.
The commissioner has instructed deputy commissioners to ensure that once encroachments are removed, they are not re-established.
