PSL player draft

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that the HBL PSL Player Draft, originally scheduled to take place in Gwadar, will now be held on 13 January 2025 at Huzoori Bagh, Lahore Fort.

The change in venue comes due to unforeseen logistical challenges, while the Player Draft event will be broadcast live, with the ceremony starting at 12:30 pm PKT.

The rescheduled event will mark the gathering of the six franchises as they form their squads for the upcoming HBL PSL 2025 season.

The 10th edition of the HBL PSL is set to be held from 8 April to 19 May 2025.

While Gwadar will no longer host the Player Draft, it will still be featured as an important stop during the HBL PSL 2025 Trophy Tour in March.

Earlier to this, the PCB announced the pick order for the player draft of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10.

According to the PCB announced schedule, the two-time champions Lahore Qalandars will make the first pick in the platinum category, followed by Karachi Kings, while Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi will take the third and fourth picks, and last season’s runners-up Multan Sultans and champions Islamabad United will have the fifth and sixth picks, respectively.

The draft will follow a reverse sequence in the second round of the platinum category, with Islamabad United making the first pick, followed by Sultans, Zalmi, Gladiators, Kings and Qalandars.

Each team will have three picks in the platinum, diamond, and gold categories, while the draft order varies across rounds in the diamond and gold categories.
