Another cold wave to hit Karachi on Jan 04: Pak Met

The cold weather which gripped Karachi for days is expected to deepen from January 04, as predicted by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

Despite some decrease in prevailing cold weather, the PMD hinted that the temperature in Karachi is likely to drop to one digit after January 04.

Currently, the PMD recorded a minimum temperature of 13.5 degrees Celsius in the metropolis while the humidity levels are at 58 percent.

It is worth mentioning here that Karachi has witnessed the temperatures drop to single digits multiple times already in the past month, with mercury recorded at 9.1°C and 9.5°C in the port city.

Last month, in December a noticeable dip in temperatures was recorded across Karachi, with the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reporting significant changes in the weather.

As per PMD, the minimum temperature of Karachi dropped to 12.7°C in the past 24 hours and currently hovers around 13°C.

Northeasterly winds, blowing at seven kilometers per hour, are keeping the city cool, with a maximum temperature of 29°C expected during the day, according to the PMD.
