Karachi is facing major traffic disruptions as widespread protests by the Majlis-e-Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen (MWM) continue across several areas of the metropolis.
The protests, which began at Numaish Chowrangi against Parachinar situation, have spread to multiple locations including Shahrah-e-Faisal, causing significant traffic jams and road closures.
Several major roads have been closed due to the protests, including MA Jinnah Road at Numaish Chowrangi, Abul Hasan Ispahani Road near Abbas Town, and Five-Star Chowrangi. University Road is also closed from Metro Shopping Center to Nipa Chowrangi.
In addition, the main Shahrah-e-Faisal is blocked from Kala Pul to Malir Road, while the National Highway near Malir 15 Bridge is also closed for general traffic.

To alleviate the situation, Karachi Traffic Police have implemented several diversions.
Traffic from Malir, Korangi Industrial Area, and Clifton Defence can use alternate routes via Sanghar Chowrangi, Shah Faisal Colony, and Rita Plot to reach the airport.
For those traveling from Pehlwan Goth to the airport are advised to use routes via Karsaz, Drig Road, Millennium, and Johar Chowrangi.
Further diversions are in place from Power House Chowrangi to Service Road, and Ancholi Shahrah-e-Pakistan has been closed towards Sohrab Goth, while the traffic from Water Pump Chowrangi to Cardiac Hospital and Gulberg Chowrangi has also been diverted.
Karachi traffic police urged the commuters to stay updated on the traffic situation, as diversions may change depending on the protests.
