The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Task Force from the Veterinary Services Department launched a successful operation against illegal animal slaughtering in Karachi’s Liaquatabad area.
According to an official statement, the team confiscated a total of 246 kilograms of beef during the crackdown, which was later handed over to Karachi Zoo and Alamgir Welfare Trust.
The operation, ordered by Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab, was led by the Senior and Director of Veterinary Services with the participation of their staff.
Officials emphasized that the crackdown aims to ensure compliance with hygiene standards and prevent unauthorized slaughtering practices.
“Under the mayor’s guidance, these operations will continue across Karachi to safeguard citizens’ health and enforce meat supply regulations,” stated the Senior Director of Veterinary Services.
