The financial capital of Pakistan, Karachi dropped three points in the world’s quality of living city ranking 2024.
An analytical report by Mercer on global city rankings for quality of life has placed Karachi at 218th, and Lahore at 220th, each dropping three points, while Islamabad ranks at the 204th position, up two points.
The report evaluated over 450 cities based on 39 factors, including political stability, social conditions, healthcare, education, and crime rates.
Zurich, Switzerland, emerged as the top city in terms of quality of living, followed by Vienna, Austria, and Geneva, Switzerland.
Other cities in the top 10 include Copenhagen, Auckland, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Vancouver, Bern, and Basel.
In Asia, Singapore ranked 30th globally and was declared the best city on the continent.
Similarly, Khartoum, Sudan, ranked 241st, was labeled the worst city, followed by Bangui (239th) and Baghdad (240th).
