The Chief Minister (CM) of Sindh, Murad Ali Shah, expressed opposition regarding imposing a ban on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Speaking to the media, Murad stated that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) does not support restrictions on any political party.
Regarding calls for Governor Rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Shah remarked that imposing such measures has become increasingly difficult, citing frequent demands during the previous government.
Murad Ali Shah also highlighted the importance of constitutional practices, criticizing the delay in holding the Council of Common Interests (CCI) meeting, which has not been convened for nine months.
He stressed the need for the meeting to address pressing national issues, including water distribution.
Reiterating the PPP’s stance against the Kala Bagh Dam, Shah recalled Benazir Bhutto’s historic sit-in at Kumu Shaheed, asserting that Sindh’s water rights would be safeguarded at all costs.
“We will not give even a drop of Sindh’s water to anyone,” he declared.
On the other hand, Provincial Minister Sharjeel Memon also criticized PTI, accusing its leadership of evading responsibility.
He alleged that PTI’s actions led to a rejection in the dialogue from all provinces, including Sindh and Punjab, and accused the party of exploiting ordinary citizens for political gains.
