Karachi will experience dry weather today, with temperatures expected to rise slightly before a significant drop in the coming days.
According to the Meteorological Department, the city’s early morning minimum temperature was recorded at 20.4°C, meanwhile, visibility was reduced to 2 kilometers due to light fog during the morning hours.
The maximum temperature is predicted to range between 30°C and 32°C, while the minimum will hover between 19°C and 21°C over the next 24 hours.
Moderate northeast winds, blowing at speeds of 8 to 15 kilometers per hour, are expected throughout the day.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz reported that Karachi could feel the impact of cold winds following a western weather system that recently brought rainfall to Balochistan.
These winds are expected to lower Karachi’s temperatures by 2 to 3°C starting December 5.
The weather system caused rain in parts of Balochistan and is now moving towards northern Pakistan.
Its trailing cold winds are likely to bring a noticeable chill to Karachi, marking the onset of cooler days. Residents are advised to prepare for the upcoming dip in temperatures as winter takes hold.
