The price of 24-karat gold per tola surged by Rs. 1,600, reaching Rs. 275,900 on Wednesday, compared to its previous rate of Rs. 274,300, according to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs. 1,372, now priced at Rs. 236,540, up from Rs. 235,168. The 22-karat gold rate for 10 grams also experienced an increase, climbing to Rs. 216,828 from Rs. 215,571.

In contrast, the prices of silver per tola and 10 grams remained unchanged at Rs. 3,400 and Rs. 2,914.95, respectively.

The global gold market also witnessed an upward trend, with prices rising by $16 to $2,647 per ounce, compared to the previous $2,631.

A day earlier, Gold prices in Pakistan saw a substantial decline on Tuesday as the price of 24-carat gold dropped.

Similarly, the rate for 10 grams fell by Rs 3,657, reaching Rs 238,683, according to the Saraffa Association.

The decline comes after weeks of market volatility, with gold prices dropping from an all-time high of over Rs 287,000 per tola.

In the international market, gold prices rose slightly, increasing by $43 to $2,672 per ounce from $2,715.
