The National Counter Terrorism Authority (Nacta) has issued a warning about potential terrorist attacks during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally toward Islamabad.
The PTI is set to begin its rally today (Sunday), prompting enhanced security measures in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and several districts of Punjab.
The alert, based on both technical and human intelligence, indicates that terrorists are planning “major activities” in Pakistan’s major cities.

Sources revealed that preparations by these groups were observed in Afghanistan, with individuals entering Pakistan on the night of November 19-20. They are believed to have positioned themselves in key urban areas.
Authorities suspect the group, referred to as “Fitna-al-Khawarij” by government and military officials, may target the PTI’s protests for their own purposes.
In response, Nacta has urged heightened vigilance and the implementation of strict security measures to counter the potential threat.
