The International Cricket Council (ICC) has brought the Champions Trophy to Islamabad from Dubai as Pakistan prepares to host the tournament next year.

The trophy tour will begin on November 16 in Skardu Valley, eventually visiting key Pakistani cities that will host Champions Trophy 2025 matches.

Following its display in Skardu, the trophy will be toured to K2 Base Camp, marking a symbolic journey across Pakistan and raising excitement for the event.

The tour will end on November 24, aiming to generate enthusiasm for the Champions Trophy, scheduled from February 19 to March 9, 2025.

However, this year’s trophy tour is unusual due to the absence of an official tournament schedule – a first for the ICC, which typically announces tournament schedules months in advance. The schedule, initially expected on November 11 in Lahore, has faced delays.

However, reports emerged that the issue lies with India’s reluctance to play matches in Pakistan, which has stalled final confirmations.

The ICC has not yet confirmed a release date for the schedule, but it remains hopeful that the matter will soon be resolved, allowing the tournament to proceed as planned.
