Strict entry rules ‘to impose’ for visitors at Karachi airport

In a move to strict security measures, the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) is all set to impose strict conditions for the citizens to access entry at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi.

According to ARY News sources, it is made mandatory for the citizens arriving at Karachi airport – either to pick up or drop off the passengers – to carry a copy of the tickets of the passenger.

Additionally, the new security measures permit entry for only four citizens accompanying each passenger at the airport, while, the citizens entering the airport have to present a copy of the ticket and an identity card at the security check, otherwise, the entry will be denied.

ARY sources indicate that the Vigilance Department of the Pakistan Airports Authority has devised a comprehensive plan, with the implementation of the new rules expected to commence soon.

These regulations follow a recent terrorist attack near the airport, prompting the authority to enhance security protocols.
