In a deeply disturbing incident, a woman and three children were discovered dead with their throats slit at their residence in Karachi on Thursday morning, as confirmed by the local police. The horrifying discovery unfolded in Sher Muhammad Goth, situated in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar area, sending shockwaves through the community.
The victims were identified as Saima, the wife of Arshad, along with her three children: two-year-old Ahd, seven-year-old Shahzain, and nine-year-old Ashhad. Authorities revealed that a sharp tool was used to inflict the fatal injuries on the mother and her children. The crime scene prompted a swift response from law enforcement, and the bodies were promptly transferred to the hospital for legal formalities.
Arshad, the husband of the deceased woman, has been taken into custody by the police for further investigation. Reports indicate that Arshad works as a cable operator, and at the time of the incident, he was not present at home.
Imdad Ali, the uncle of the deceased children, shared his account with the media, stating that he received a call from his brother Arshad around 12:30 am after he arrived home. Upon reaching his brother’s house, Imdad Ali was confronted with a heart-wrenching scene—the lifeless body of his elder nephew lay in the porch, while the bodies of the two younger children and their aunt were discovered in separate rooms.
