Karachi police on Thursday said that a woman member of an organised gang, involved in several robberies in Karachi’s East district has been arrested.

SSP Investigations – East Zone announced that his team has arrested a most wanted woman who is said to be involved in looting several houses in the area. 

According to the police the members of this gang used to enter different houses by showing themselves as government officials and robbed residents of their valuables.

The arrested woman has confessed to several lootings and robberies in Gulistan-e-Jauhar and Sachal goth area and police say that further investigation from the arrested woman is underway.

Police further said that raids are being conducted to arrest other members of the gang.
