Governor Sindh Imran Ismail has rejected an ordinance regarding the regularisation of illegal building structures in Karachi.
The governor has raised 14 objections to the ordinance. The biggest of these objections included the fact that buildings on illegally occupied land should not be regularised and that there was no mention of a fine on the bill over the construction of these structures.
He further pointed out that the ordinance should not go against the apex court’s decision and asked the provincial government to once again review it and address the flaws.
