PSL 8 roster registers over 500 overseas players

The eighth season of the Pakistan Super League has attracted more than 500 foreign players, including Australians Matthew Wade and Aaron Finch (PSL).

On December 15, Karachi is scheduled to host the PSL 8 player draught.

According to the list of players, the majority of players who have signed up for PSL are from England, where 138 players will be available for franchises to select for the league’s most recent season.

The following players have registered for the players’ draught: 46 players from Afghanistan, 16 from Australia, 30 players from Bangladesh, 6 from New Zealand, 26 from South Africa, 62 from Sri Lanka, 11 from Zimbabwe, and about 40 players from the West Indies.

The following individuals fall under the platinum category: Aaron Finch, Matthew Wade, Shakib Al Hasan, Alex Hales, David Willey, Dawid Malan, Moeen Ali, Jimmy Neesham, David Miller, Adil Rasheed, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Dasun Shanaka, Wanindu Hasaranga, Kieron Pollard, Mujeeb ur Rehman, Mohammad Nabi, Martin Guptil, Lungi Ngid

Meanwhile, the Diamond category includes Carlos Brathwaite, Imran Tahir, Saqib Mehmood, James Vince, Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiq ur Rahim, Hazratullah Zazai, Will Jacks, Reeza Hendricks, Shai Hope, Sikandar Raza, and others.

Junior Dala and Temba Bavuma, two South Africans, have signed up for the PSL player draft’s Gold category.

However, Shakeeb ul Hassan, Moeen Ali, and David Willey along with several other Bangladesh and England players are partially available or their availability is subject to the team’s selection for the bilateral series between the two countries.

Players from South Africa and West Indies are also likely to be available partially as both teams are scheduled to play bilateral series in February.
