Another monsoon period will enter Sindh today, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
The Met Office predicts that starting on August 5, moderately intense monsoon currents will likely enter eastern Sindh.
The advisory added that between August 5 and 9, rain-thunderstorms with a few isolated, moderate, and heavy falls are expected in the districts of Tharparker, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Badin, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allayar, Hyderabad, Matiari, Thatta, Sujawal, Sanghar, Shaheed Benazirabad, Khairpur, Sukkur, Larkana, Ghotki, Kashmore, Shikarpur.
However, from August 6 to August 9, the system will bring rain to Karachi.
During the predicted period, the heavy rain may create water logging in low-lying regions of the districts of Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allayar, Dadu, Jamshoro, and Qambar Shahdadkot.
After August 10, another spell could hit Karachi, according to the PMD.
