The Sindh government has announced plans to establish a modern media university in Karachi, aimed at promoting Sindh’s rich history and cultural heritage on the global stage.
The initiative is being undertaken under the direction of Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Mustafa Abdullah Baloch, spokesperson for the Sindh government, stated that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had instructed the Sindh chief minister to initiate the project, which is designed to highlight the province’s historical and cultural legacy.
The media university will be developed to international standards, focusing on media education, research, and innovation.
The university will be established through a public-private partnership, serving as a new hub for progress, creativity, and cultural pride for the people of Sindh.
Baloch also highlighted past successes of public-private partnerships in completing various projects in the province.
In addition, the Sindh government is taking steps to promote inclusivity, with Chief Minister Sindh directing the Education Department to develop the province’s first-ever Transgender Education Policy.
