Italy is home to some of the top universities in Europe and students are keen to study in these universities.
To apply for an Italian student visa, the applicants – including Pakistani citizens – must provide proof of financial means to cover their stay in Italy. This is typically done through a bank statement.
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Entry visa application form
- Recent passport-sized photograph
- Passport must be valid for at least three months after the visa
- Enrollment or pre-enrollment in a university course
- Proof of residence in Italy
- Proof of funds for stay in Italy
- Medical insurance
- Proof of financial means required for return home.
- Proof of adequate knowledge of Italian or English, depending on the language of the program.
The applicant must have at least 467.65 euros per month for the duration of their studies in Italy, for an academic year, this amount will be a total of 6079.45 euros.
Meanwhile, for a two-year course, the total required amount is 12158 euros in the bank account.
As of January 17, the exchange rate is 1 euro = 287.75 Pakistani rupees, so applicants must ensure that their bank statement reflects the equivalent amount in rupees.
This financial proof demonstrates the student’s ability to afford living and study expenses in Italy throughout the course duration.
