University of Karachi initiates online admissions for 2024 academic year in various undergraduate programs

The University of Karachi has commenced the online admission process for the academic year 2024, inviting applications for various undergraduate programs in the morning session. The offered programs include BS, B.Ed (Hons), B.E., Doctor of Pharmacy (morning and evening programs), Doctor of Physical Therapy, and the Department of Visual Studies in the morning shift.

Prospective applicants can access detailed information, eligibility requirements, the online admission form, prospectus, and admission guidelines on the official website (www.uokadmission.edu.pk). The deadline for submitting admission forms along with required documents is November 08.

As part of the academic offerings, the University has introduced a new four-year BS degree program in Sports Business Management. Admissions are open for four-year degree programs across various departments, encompassing fields such as Applied Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Applied Physics, Biotechnology, Business Administration (BBA), B.E. Chemical Engineering, Commerce, Computer Science (BSCS and BSSE), Criminology, Education, Environmental Studies, Food Science and Technology, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, International Relations, Mass Communication, Public Administration, Petroleum Technology, Special Education, Sports Business Management, B.Ed (Hons) Teacher Education, and Visual Studies.

In addition, admissions are available for the five-year programs in Doctor of Physical Therapy and Doctor of Pharmacy, offered in both morning and evening shifts. The application deadline for these programs is also November 08.

For candidates applying to the Department of Visual Studies, eligibility requires a minimum of 50 marks in the Higher Secondary School Certificate or equivalent exams. Diplomas should have at least 60 marks to qualify for the department’s aptitude test scheduled for November 19, with the admission list set for release by December 12.

Applicants to the Doctor of Pharmacy program must have a minimum of 60% marks in the pre-medical intermediate examination or equivalent exams. Entrance tests are mandatory for students seeking self-finance or reserved seats.

The entry test for BS first-year admissions is slated for November 26, with the admission list anticipated by December 03. The Karachi University Assessment and Testing Service will conduct the entry test, and admissions for open merit BS programs will be offered from December 17 onwards.
