Karachi traffic police has raised an alarm over a possible impending attack on the personnel managing metropolis roads.
Officials of traffic police across all districts of the city have been instructed to ensure security measures for traffic police personnel in all fields of duty.
Traffic Police DIG Javed Ali Mahar issued the alert intimating both the personnel and relevant authorities of the threats decoded and/or received as he strictly advised officials to undertake security measures while discharging duties.
“They must also wear bulletproof jackets”, while performing their duties and armed police personnel must be deployed at a safe distance from their duty points for their security, the alert read.
