The pipeline supplying water to Karachi has burst, due to which 4 pumps at the main hydrant have stopped completely.
The pipeline at Kopani burst due to a power breakdown at Dhabiji Pumping Station and thus the water supply to Karachi has been, The 72-inch diameter pipeline number 5 burst due to the back pressure of the water,
4 pumps of the pumping station are completely shut down, due to which the supply of 18 million gallons of water is suspended.
Due to the rupture of the pipeline, water accumulated in the entire area and the area has been cut off from the National Highway.
So far, the repair work of the affected pipeline could not be started, due to which Korangi, Quaidabad, Landhi, Malir, Shah Latif Town, Gulshan Iqbal and other areas will continue to face water shortages.
